What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026
The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It means the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, the breadth is solid.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
