What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026
TabTrade - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker this new, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
